Triumphant Ascent - Author Hazel Pinder

What dates in the calendar do you remember easily? I suspect birthdays and anniversaries will be the top of all of our lists. In this month there are two special days arriving, that are important for Christians. The ascension of the Lord Jesus is one of these and the other is Pentecost. Although ascension day is not greatly observed, nevertheless it is an important occasion that the disciples would have never forgotten.

Probably we wonder living in 2020 countless years after this event, does it have relevance today in our world? Furthermore why did the Lord want to ascend in this way, he could have just disappeared?

Miraculous Saviour is how we could describe the Lord Jesus Christ, because he showed us the miraculous throughout his ministry.

Consequently his last undertaking his ascension, was a repeat of the miraculous. Consider what had occurred, the Lord had combatted principalities and powers at the cross and won. His ascent therefore was a huge show and display of power, he was the great and mighty victor. Hebrews 4 v 14

His ascension would have been seen by all the powers dominating the earth. Don't be naïve in your thinking on spiritual matters, we are in a war and the darkness of different dominions is real. Ephesian 6 v 12

I believe his last act was a gift wrapped up for us to understand on many counts.

We are to long for his returning............ and to understand that he will return and every eye will see him. That isn't so difficult to comprehend after thinking about his ascension. So be assured He now sits as our high priest, connected to us loving us from Heaven. Hebrews 4 v 16

Possibly all of this may help us to understand more and more the reality of Heaven, a short journey away where he waits to receive his children. In the uncertainty of today's world, where we consider that we know so much.........until the gravity of a pandemic hits us. It is vital to know that the Lord Jesus is as near as your cell phone, and waiting to hear from you! Don't worry if it has been a long time since you considered him. He is just a prayer away, not just as a support but as Savior and friend!

Ascension is a very special date, but, it also leads us into, and is in conjunction with Pentecost. The two are enjoined, the disciples were not to stand around waiting......... they had a job to do........to go on to Jerusalem. In our world today, we are to do the same, we have a job to do......to go and be ambassadors for the Lord. Revelation 1 v 7 Look He is coming in the clouds, and every eye will see Him...........

What are you doing today reader, is life difficult? Throughout the world we are experiencing a terrifying surge of unknown happenings, that can be very frightening.

Possibly, you are also finding it difficult to see a sign post of hope. It is true that when you don't know the way forward it can be very unsettling. Although let us make a declaration. God is there He knows each one of us and loves us. His plans are extensive and we can trust Him.

Of course, at the beginning of the world when creation started everything was peaceful. Tranquility and hope pervaded the atmosphere, where trees and shrubs bowed to the creator of the universe when He went past. Nature was rapturous in this atmosphere, although soon everything changed when the blight of sin brought corruption.

This encroaching sin, began to dominate the mournful earth, like a plateau of blackness and permeated everything. Many years on, a glimmer of light, showed that change was coming. When a company of angels lit up the sky over shepherds in the fields, it was electric, excitement was rife as the whole earth experienced the remarkable touch of Heaven to earth! All nature was ecstatic, a new order was about to happen and in Heaven there was an explosion of joy. The world was experiencing possibilities for the future that were endless, once the Saviour arrived.

Once the world felt the touch of The Lord Jesus, and His beautiful voice called the elements to order on the lake, His actions declared that change. Every tree was alive to the aroma that the mighty Son of God brought, singing in silent rapturous praise. He is the Lord!

However there was one small fig tree, that was deaf to this resounding praise and chose to lay dormant, when the Lord walked that way.

In our world there is an element that is never seen with the naked eye, but known so well by the extraordinary power and anointing of God. A small fig tree seems so incidental but it is an segment that stands out, next to the majesty of the Lord. Similarly today, it is abundantly clear, that the attitude and intentions of many in this world is like that barren tree. Arrogantly holding a willful disdain for the Lord Jesus Christ and for all that is not understood, as irrelevant. Scorning the value of the cross and giving allegiance to a Saviour as an amusing anecdote.

Reader, let me describe my experience when forty four years ago I read two books that directed me to this Saviour. I found it amazing on reading the evidence and after confirming it in the bible, I decided I must respond and did so on my knees in repentance.

I can tell you here and now, that it was a most remarkable experience. The Lord Jesus Christ is real, and I felt His touch as my tears fell, He was there alright, right next to me. I was changed as a fountain of pure love transformed me. He filled me with His Holy Spirit power, and wiped the heart ache of many broken years. I knew completely that He would never leave me and got up on my feet a women saved by grace. Wherever you are whatever your heartache is bring it to the Saviour of the world, He is waiting to hear from you! John 8 I am the light of the world, whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.

Matthew 8 v26-27 ….Then he got up an rebuked the wind and waves....they were amazed, what kind of man is this,.... that even the wind and waves obey him?

Written from a Biblical Perspective - Overcoming Abuse: My Body Belongs to God and Me – A Child’s Body Safety Guide by Reina Davison speaks to children, telling them they are “Overcomers.”

This is a wonderful truth in God’s Word, as she begins the book by the definition of what an overcomer is. Opening children’s eyes to the truth of God’s purpose and plans for them, she goes on to describe God’s gift of free will. Describing Good

Touch and Bad Touch; she elaborates on these two and what that can encompass. There are Good Touch people and Bad Touch people. Her book gives hope to children who have or have not experienced abuse by speaking the truth of God’s love and care for their body. She also teaches children how to prevent abuse by giving them the tools to know the difference between a healthy relationship and unhealthy relationships.

Writing from a Biblical perspective, yet incredibly gentle and simple, Reina Davison gives hope and guidance that exposes the darkness and sin of the enemy lurking in our lives. These people are unsafe and “No Touch” people as Reina explains. Her premise teaches children the principle of becoming “Overcomers” in Christ Jesus.

This is a fantastic book that teaches wonderful and enlightening spiritual truths to children. (Note: This book just may encourage adults as well; teaching them that they are overcomers!) I personally enjoyed the uplifting truths to her book and thought…I wish I had a book such as this when I was a child. You will be delighted by this book as well.

As a guidebook, this book teaches parents, caregivers, family members, etc., to understand what safe behavior is in and out of the home. Her Body Safety guide in the back provides a checklist for adults to adhere to in protecting children. With beautiful illustrations, the author sheds light on walking in the truth of God’s Word, while giving them instruction of their enemy (the devil), the Bible, and Jesus, offering hope and encouragement to look to Jesus as their help and Savior. Her book shows that God has a good plan for them and cares for them. She shares that they are Overcomers and can defeat the enemy (the devil) and that because of Jesus, they too can choose to be of Good Cheer (be happy).

This book comes highly recommended for all children who need to be taught encouraging truths about God’s Word, and especially is a tool to be used by parents, counselors, pastors, child psychologists, medical personnel, and lay persons to teach about healthy sexual boundaries.

To tell you the truth, this is one of those books parents should utilize in teaching their children about bad people that sin and touch inappropriately. She has given a list of resources in the back of the book, and is an advocate of ending child sexual abuse. Written with grace, wisdom, and sensitivity to children’s pure intellects, this book does a wonderful job in tackling a difficult subject.

Readers might ask themselves, what is the way of truth? As the author points out, the true Gospel of Jesus Christ is the way of truth. One would have to read what the Bible speaks on these matters to become more Christ-like and as such, the author provides a format for the building of Christ-like character that includes “holiness”. Specifically mentioning the role of the Holy Spirit as “the anointing,” the author concisely takes the readers through Biblical discourse back to the beginning of creation, Adam and Eve, the Fall of man, and God’s purpose for creating man, helping readers understand the brevity of the matter and the inerrant spoken Word of God as eternal. All want eternal life, but there is only one way, as the Scriptures will prove what is acceptable according to Scripture versus man’s opinion.

As noted, the role of the Holy Spirit to interpret Scripture and lack of knowledge of Scripture has left a void, even a vacuum that some may explain as a giant pit, and a dark hole which from there is no return.

Within this book, he urges all to become a “student” of the Word and to look into the Bible for themselves to find truth. His teachings are Biblically sound and this book tells the truth that today’s Christian preachers, pastors and those who teach the Bible have made Christianity a huge platform for their own enterprise. (This attitude does not pertain to every person preaching, but involves a large share of those that might use His Gospel for their own profit.) This is not what Jesus preached in His Gospel and not what He intended. The Gospel is not a get rich scheme.

This book comes highly recommended for those willing to search deeper and wider to find true understanding of the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. A great read for all Christians, whether new or mature alike, as it contains solid Biblical teaching, not derived from man’s opinion, but offers a Biblical foundation from Scripture.

Abba's Sanctuary book l and 2 are stories the Father wanted me to write to show people how he will bring not only people in your life to help but also his creations to protect, nurture, and give knowledge to children what he has created and how each creation has a place in the world which are important to him.

I had no idea that this would happen to me, the children, and staff. We were surprised at each one, and we did our best to care for each one as they came to us. There is love in each story, and I hope you can feel what I felt as each creature came forth. Giving facts to children is important for their development and letting them know how wonderfully rich we are to have the opportunity to understand and watch his creations, though living in the wild, be a part of our lives up close.

Having had a near death experience in her early 20’s, Selina returned to her body with a clear awareness of having had passed over and traveling through the tunnel of light at breakneck speed.
